# Recognise the claims that call for a pause

Pause when a care offer replaces an answer with a label, a guarantee or pressure to pay.

## “No side effects” is not a settled fact

The FDA oversees US medicines. It says human research has not given it enough information to know what harm BPC-157 might cause (review checked September 28, 2026).

The FDA warns that the body’s defence system may react to BPC-157 and that unwanted substances in the product may add risk. How often these reactions happen has not been measured (review checked September 28, 2026).

Ask what is known, what remains untested and how the doctor would respond to a problem.

## A purity certificate has limits

A purity certificate reports how much of a sample is the named substance.

A purity figure cannot by itself show that a BPC-157 injection has no germs, poisons from bacteria or unwanted particles. The FDA describes these as separate safety checks (review checked September 28, 2026).

Ask which tests the report contains. A high number on a certificate does not answer every quality question.

## What does an official-looking badge tell you?

A business described as “FDA registered” has given the agency details to put on record. A drug listing means a product appears in a drug record kept by the agency. Neither gives a product drug approval or makes selling it legal. This limit is set out in the rule checked September 26, 2026.

If an offer uses this claim, ask where you can see the actual approval.

## Read beyond a research label

Putting “research use only” on BPC-157 does not mean the FDA has reviewed it for use in people (status checked September 28, 2026).

Ask what status the proposed substance has, even when a prescription is offered.

## Pregnancy and other medicines leave questions

BPC-157 has no FDA-reviewed instructions about pregnancy, effects with other medicines or who should avoid it (record checked September 28, 2026).

Discuss your circumstances with your doctor rather than filling that gap with online assurances.

## When an allergic reaction needs emergency help

Breathing trouble and tongue swelling are among the symptoms of a severe allergic reaction.

Call 911 if symptoms are severe. This emergency advice comes from MedlinePlus health information checked September 17, 2026.

MedlinePlus provides health information through the National Library of Medicine.
